Jennette is glad her mom died and you know what? I'm happy for her. Jennette's writing style makes it feel like you're having a conversation with a close friend. It's easy to lose yourself in the book and form a connection. She does a great job influencing the reader and inspiring personal reflection while conveying her incredibly traumatic experiences through humor and tact. This book will remain an incredibly worthwhile and necessary read.

I finished this book in one day. It's truly one of the most moving memoirs I've ever read. It's heartbreaking yet funny, honest, raw & relatable. Although some of us grew up alongside Sam Puckett, we have to recognize that Jennette McCurdy is an entirely different person who didn't deserve to endure all that she did. Also, can we talk about how amazing the cover design is?

Funny, honest, and intensely intimate. Beginning at adolescence, McCurdy's writing ages like wine and matures alongside her as if she's been writing this story her entire life.
